Our Experience
We're different - and we can prove it. Just ask our customers. Since 1982, we have had the pleasure of saying that our very first customers are still our customers. AIS serves customers in many industries including financial services, retail, utilities, insurance, non-profit and government agencies.
Our ultimate goal is to create long-term trusted relationships with each of our customers. With a demonstrated history of repeated reliability, over 85% of our customers continue to put their faith in us when attempting to solve their current business and IT challenges.
Many years of experience have taught us to trust our instincts, and sometimes that means that we may not be the right fit for every project. We are motivated by doing a great job and by keeping the promises that we make, and would rather walk away from the wrong project than sacrifice our honest reputation and trusted relationships with our customers.

People
At AIS we make investments in top-notch people. It's that simple. We recruit proven leaders in their field and are highly selective about who we hire. And our goal is to nurture and ensure the continuous evolution of their technical competencies, whether we advocate their participation in corporate development initiatives, fund any industry trainings and certifications, or create bonuses for people when they seek to achieve these accreditations.
We also fundamentally believe that in order to be successful we must succeed organizationally. We are focused on investing in the group dynamics that promote world-class organizations, such as the designation and appointment of our Corporate Technical Staff (CTS). The CTS is a small group of industry-recognized Subject Matter Experts who provide strategic direction for the solutions landscape for the company. CTS members also provide executive oversight on projects and are leveraged by our customers before, during and after project engagements. Additionally, they create and support internal online forums - discussion boards where developers can "crowd around" and quickly resolve project roadblocks and issues. The CTS role demonstrates our commitment to investing in our people, while simultaneously allowing us to provide our clients with access to the "AIS collective knowledge".
Technology
For many years AIS has been a leader in developing and adopting new and emerging industry technologies and processes. As a result, many of our people are considered trusted advisors to some of the biggest technology companies in the world, and in some cases we have even been selected to develop core components for our partner's products. AIS is continually asked to be a part of our partner's "beta" processes of new technology initiatives. And we invest heavily in technology readiness programs for our employees, so that they can pass this valuable expertise along to our valued customers.
Partnerships
For years AIS has sought to build and grow partnerships with the leading technology innovators, including Microsoft and IBM. Our technical expertise and exemplary record of service delivery has allowed us to be selected by Microsoft to be a Managed Gold Partner for 13 years. In addition, 4 of our executives sit on prestigious Partner Advisory Councils, and although they have been selected by Microsoft, this designation requires significant time and investment on our part to fully support these programs. Over the years, several AIS employees have participated in committees to research emerging product markets for our partners and have then helped them implement the findings into their corporate strategy. Many of our employees have also been selected by our partners to become leaders in the developer community and are required to donate many hours to this effort - all at our cost. Finally, we also support our partners by delivering key content at their events.
Our Approach is Committed to Time and Budget
Our proven analysis-driven approach to our customer's challenges allows us to understand business problems in a way that contributes to timely deliverables.
We also understand the need for a strong but flexible approach to software project delivery. Our people are lifelong students of both formal methodology practices as well as emerging trends, and recognize that no one methodology fits every project. For example, we can employ a highly iterative Agile process, a dynamic process that responds to changing requirements and can enable clients to harness these changes for their competitive advantage. We define each project process based on each client's specific environment and needs, and we have a demonstrated record of successful process selection.
Whatever process methodology is utilized, it is focused on timely deliverables and staying within the client's budget parameters.
