Fred Elleman
Chief Executive Officer
Fred Elleman co-founded Applied Information Sciences, Inc with Dave Mucka in 1982. After serving as an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for many years, Fred assumed the position of CEO in 2005, and oversees the strategic direction of the company. Active in the IT industry for over 30 years, Fred spent the early years of his career working as an analyst and project manager for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, as well as 8 years at NCR.
Fred attended Butler University before serving our country in the Vietnam War.
J. Thomas O'Connell
President
Tom O'Connell assumed the role of President in 2008. Tom has been at AIS since 1990, and is responsible for the Operations, Sales, Marketing and Corporate Development teams. Tom was initially responsible for the product management and sales of all UniAccess products, and his efforts contributed to over $30 million revenue.
For the past decade, Tom has been instrumental in developing our position as a premier Microsoft Managed Gold Partner focused on custom application development. Additionally, Tom has been named to various Microsoft Partner Advisory Councils over the years, and is regularly sought for speaking engagements because of his deep insight and experience with Microsoft technologies.
Prior to joining AIS, Tom designed and built satellite control centers for NASA, including the Hubble Space Telescope. He also held various positions at Unisys Corporation for 7 years, eventually managing Federal pre-sales personnel for the Army, Navy and CIA accounts. Tom attended the University of Delaware and received a degree in Physics.

Mike Baker
Mike Baker is an AIS Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for all corporate information technology systems as well as the Database Architecture Consulting practice. Mike brings over 30 years of experience and thought leadership to his position, and has been at AIS since 1993.
Prior to joining AIS, Mike did enterprise systems consulting at Unisys Corporation. Mike attended the University of Maryland and received a degree in Physical Science.
Vishwas Lele
Vishwas Lele is an AIS Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for the company vision and execution of creating business solutions using .NET technologies. Vishwas brings close to 20 years of experience and thought leadership to his position, and has been at AIS since 1994.
A noted industry speaker and author, Vishwas is the Microsoft Regional Director for the Washington, D.C. area and a member of the Connected Systems Division Advisors group. Additionally, Vishwas has received an MVP (Most Valuable Professional) for Solution Architecture award for both 2006 and 2007.
Prior to joining AIS, Vishwas worked for Tata Unisys and Microstrategy. Vishwas received his Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering from Nagpur University in India and his Masters degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.
Warren Steger
Warren Steger is a Principal Business Analyst and is responsible for all Business Analysis and Software Engineering Process strategies at AIS. Warren brings more than 25 years of experience to the position, and has been at AIS since 1998. He has led the software engineering selection process for every AIS project, and consulted our most strategic partners. Most notably, Warren led the development of a "slimmed down" version of IBM's Rational Unified Process focused on .NET developers that was delivered in conjunction with the IBM Rational eXtended Development Environment (XDE) for .NET. In recent years, Warren Steger has been researching and applying the Agile Methodologies such as the Eclipse Process Framework's Open Unified Process (OPEN/UP), Microsoft's Solution Framework (MSF) Agile, and Scrum. Warren is certified ScrumMaster and certified Scrum Product Owner, and also holds certifications in RUP and in Requirements Management with Use Cases.
Warren is a member of the Microsoft Partner Advisory Council to the Microsoft Developer Tools Division, and is also a member of the Connected Systems Division Advisors group. In these roles he interacts directly with the Microsoft product teams to help them shape their next generation of tools and technologies.
Prior to joining AIS, Warren worked for Computer Sciences Corporation for 13 years, followed by Bell Atlantic and Iridium for the next 3 years. Warren received his Bachelors degree in Physics from Washington and Jefferson College and his Masters degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.
