AIS Expands Sales and Marketing Teams
to Support Regional Market Success

Reston, VA. - January 31, 2007

As a result of continued commercial business success in the Mid-Atlantic region, Applied Information Sciences, Inc. (AIS), a leading Microsoft Managed Gold Partner, announces the expansion of its sales and marketing teams. The company has promoted Scott Mitchell to Regional Sales Manager and has added key employees William Pearce and Christina Spinney-Turner. Scott Mitchell has been promoted to a Regional Sales Manager, and will oversee and direct the expanded sales and marketing efforts in Maryland and Northern Virginia.

"Promoting Scott to a Regional Sales Manager will help AIS to expand its sales goals while staying true to its mission to build trusted, value-based relationships with our customers. His demonstrated ability to attract new business as well as serve as sales leader will be very important as we move forward to meet growing demand", said Tom O'Connell, Executive VP, AIS.

William Pearce has been hired as a new Business Development Executive and will focus on managing long-term existing client relationships as well as developing new business primarily within the state of Maryland.

Bringing 20 years to the position, Bill's has an extensive background helping clients envision and create business solutions around Microsoft platform technologies.

"Bill's locally established experience building long-term relationships will be important to our continued success in the region", said Scott Mitchell, Regional Sales Manager, AIS.

Christina Spinney-Turner has been hired as a Marketing Manager. Christina's proven experience creating key messaging, solutions-oriented product positioning and marketing communications strategies will support the AIS sales team's realization of newly expanded initiatives.
