Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Lite for The Federal Government

Reston, VA. - June 7, 2006

According to the GILBANE Report "Worldwide digital content doubles every 3 years..federal websites, file systems, and e-mail repositories are bulging with content at a time when managers face unprecedented demands to share information across agencies and with business and citizens." At the upcoming "GILBANE Conference on Content Management for the Federal Government" Russ Stalters, the co-founder of the Compliance Solutions Group (CSG), will reveal his ECM Lite strategy that addresses this acute problem.

On June 14, 2006 at 10 AM, Mr. Russ Stalters will lead a discussion entitled "ECM Lite for the Federal Government." Russ will point out that the growing focus on XML in the federal government raises some serious questions as federal managers seek to gain greater value from their enterprise content. Based on practical experience with multiple agencies, Russ will provide real-world answers for the rational application of XML where risk is minimized and operational viability is preserved.

"There are ways in which XML can be leveraged to generate value," begins Russ Stalters, "XML can be useful in gluing together disparate systems and XML can be adopted without massive funding requirements." Federal managers will find Russ' session a valuable resource as they grapple with whether, when, and how to begin the move to an XML-based ECM scenario.

CSG and its parent company Applied Information Sciences (AIS) feature XML based solutions for Case Management, FOIA Management, E-Grants Management and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance to name a few. These applications leverage a client's existing software assets and XML to produce solutions. By definition, this New generation of enterprise class solutions are smaller in scope, more rapidly deployed and interoperable with other applications using XML. An iterative deployment strategy produces value early and often. At its foundation, these applications utilize a strong document repository. The repository is coupled with workflow automation to meet client business process automation requirements. Finally, clients are supplied with customized dashboards for monitoring and reporting thus giving them complete transparency and total control of their enterprise content and related business processes.
