AIS is currently seeking Software Trainers in Indianapolis, Indiana with solid Microsoft development and architecture experience using .NET technologies who are interested in providing comprehensive training and mentorship to Software Developers through Cloud Academy, an Azure training program! Help Us Deliver Successful Projects!

  • Collaborate with other smart AIS employees and stakeholders using cutting edge technologies to solve challenging development solutions and implement best practices as a Software Trainer & Mentor.
  • Articulate architecture and design to Software Developers as well as upper management.
  • Discuss and explain pros and cons of current “common practices” in the software industry with alternatives including Object Oriented design, various Enterprise Design Patterns and various Cloud Design Patterns.
  • Utilize problem-solving and decision making skills to understand clients’ pain points and to self-troubleshoot as challenges arise.
  • Lead other members of the development team and work with project managers to deliver solutions that surpass client expectations while meeting deadlines and budgets in an agile/scrum environment with iterative development.
  • Develop design artifacts for .NET based solutions using object oriented analysis and design techniques and UML notations and tools to participate in overall solution architecture.
  • Lead with building POC's for clients and working with proposal teams.

Profile of Success:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and 6+ years of experience with .NET technologies (Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server (TFS), Azure, C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, WCF, Web API, ADO.NET, LINQ, SOAP and REST) to train and mentor junior to senior level Software Developers.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills including public speaking experience as well as demonstrated experience training/mentoring Developers.
  • Experience with SOA, REST, ESB and general industry specific design principles and frameworks.
  • Background in .NET Common Language Runtime and .NET types, data structures, .NET Memory allocation and .NET JIT compiler.
  • In-depth understanding of event driven architecture, enterprise architecture principles and messaging based patterns.

Other Desirable Skills:

  • Previous exposure to technologies including Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and cloud such as Microsoft Azure and Office 365 and AWS.
  • Acquired Microsoft certifications, especially MCSD or MCPD.
  • Familiarity of C++, Java and/or Kotlin is a plus.
  • Desire to blog or present internally on technical topics.
