Swing that club and help the Homeless Oct. 6
Join us for a great day of golf, food, prizes and exceptional networking at the First Annual Family PASS Golf Tournament October 6 at Westfields Golf Club in Chantilly, Virginia.
There’s nothing nicer than playing golf in the early Fall – no bugs, no humidity, beautiful foliage and good friends — except playing golf for a good cause – Homelessness in Northern Virginia.
Yes, there are over 1060 homeless in Fairfax County, second only to DC with a total of over 12,000 literally homeless in the greater DC area. Most of these homeless are working families holding two and sometimes three jobs but not making enough to house their families. Fairfax public schools count over 2500 homeless students every year- kids who are flopping on friend’s couches because their families have lost their homes. Most of their classmates don’t know they are homeless.
Family PASS helps secure affordable housing and supports the job training & education skills needed to earn a living wage. 95% of Family PASS families have remained housed and self-sufficient.
